Troutman Sanders' Hallie Meushaw Selected for Noted Environmental Leadership Program
ATLANTA – Hallie Meushaw, an attorney in Troutman Sanders’ Hydropower practice, has been accepted into the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL) Class of 2020. IGEL is an experiential program that works to build and maintain a diverse network of environmentally educated leaders in the state of Georgia. Each year, about 30 participants are chosen to attend five, multi-day programs across the state, engaging in hands-on learning in the field and classroom-style discussions.
“I am looking forward to working with the IGEL Class of 2020 to help tackle Georgia’s current and future environmental challenges,” Meushaw said. “It is an honor and privilege to get to work alongside such proven leaders, and I know we will be able to make a meaningful impact that is felt beyond the state.”
Meushaw represents electric utility and other clients doing business in the renewable energy arena. She counsels clients on a range of issues arising under the Federal Power Act as well as the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other federal and state environmental requirements. She helps clients manage every aspect of their projects, including advising on licensing and compliance matters relating to natural resources, recreation, and other regulatory issues.
Troutman Sanders’ Hydropower practice is one of the largest and most recognized in the nation, with a collective experience of more than 50 years. Attorneys have assisted scores of investor-owned utilities, public power entities, independent power producers, state and local governments, water utility districts, and developers throughout the U.S. with the complex FERC licensing and relicensing process.
