Troutman Sanders’ Pamela Belleman Named a 2020 Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation
RICHMOND – Pamela Belleman, a partner in Troutman Sanders’ national Real Estate practice, has been named to the Virginia Law Foundation’s 2020 Class of Fellows. Belleman was nominated for the fellowship because of her leadership in both her practice and community. The Class of 2020 joins a group of nearly 500 of the best and brightest legal practitioners in Virginia who are committed to the highest ideals of the law and to the concept of being a citizen lawyer.
According to the nomination, “Pam Belleman is a leader in both her practice and community and a person colleagues and clients alike are proud to know. She demonstrates the highest integrity and moral character in every aspect of her life and has made a positive impact on the legal community by serving as a leader throughout her career and advancing the profession for women, minorities, and young attorneys. In addition, she is truly invested in her local community, giving back both her time and treasure for the benefit of others.”
At Troutman Sanders, Belleman advises developers and national retailers in all aspects of commercial real estate matters, including development, construction, acquisition, sale and leasing of commercial property. She also counsels clients on a full range of additional matters including construction law, land use and zoning, workouts and foreclosures, and has decades of experience assisting clients in the development and financing of new projects throughout the Southeast.
Belleman has been recognized by several industry authorities. She achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards and was named among the most Influential Women in Virginia by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. In 2010, she received the Woman of Achievement award from the Metropolitan Richmond Women’s Bar Association. The annual award recognizes members of the Virginia State Bar who have earned the respect of the community for their professional and civic contributions, provided a helping hand to other female attorneys and demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.
