Cheryl has decades of experience working with diverse clientele from Fortune 500 companies with extensive patent portfolios, to emerging growth businesses and independent inventors seeking patent protection for the first time. She tailors her services to each client, working closely with them to navigate the patent process and to help them achieve their business goals.
Cheryl applies her electrical engineering background to a broad range of technologies, such as electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, physics, optics, and computers. She is experienced across a wide range of consumer goods, including baby products, pet products, toys, diapers, manual tools, watches, and wearable garments.
Drawing from her work as a former patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Cheryl regularly assists clients with all aspects of patent prosecution, including applications and ex parte reexamination proceedings brought by third party challengers. She also handles complex ex parte appeals, including those with oral arguments, before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
