Chris focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He has significant experience in class action disputes, financial services litigation, insurance, and reinsurance matters. Additionally, Chris has experience in various phases of arbitration. He has conducted legal research on the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and various consumer financial laws and insurance topics relating to bad faith claims, horizontal and vertical exhaustion, cyber insurance, business interruption cases, and other key insurance issues.
Chris is the Pro Bono Ambassador for the Chicago Office. Chris obtained judgment in arbitration against a landlord who illegally withheld their tenant's security deposit. Additionally, Chris secured asylum for an LGBTQ+ person fleeing persecution based on their political opinion and sexual orientation. Further, his pro bono experience includes the preparation of an amicus brief drafted for the U.S. Supreme Court on the First Amendment's Freedom of Speech Clause and the preparation of motions in matters related to the Fourth Amendment.
While attending law school, Chris spent two years working for the University of Chicago Law School's Mandel Legal Aid Clinic in the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project. He was awarded The Edwin F. Mandel Award for exceptional contributions to the law school's clinical education program.
