Jake advises entrepreneurs, startups, and venture-backed companies throughout their growth cycle, in matters spanning from company formation through exit.
Jake concentrates his practice in the areas of venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. He advises startups and venture-backed companies throughout their growth cycle, including on issues related to incorporation, venture fundraising, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and M&A transactions. Jake also represents venture capital funds as they look to back promising high-growth emerging companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Jake practiced law at a large international law firm. He graduated from Emory University School of Law with high honors. At Emory, he served as notes and comment editor for the Emory Law Journal and was a member of Emory's TI:GER Program, a joint program with Georgia Tech focused on commercializing technology developed by engineering and health sciences doctoral candidates.
