A Revolution In Renewable Energy Finance
On March 2, Law360 published an article entitled “A Revolution in Renewable Energy Finance” written by Troutman Sanders partners John McDonald, Justin Boose and Adam Kobos and associate Vaughn Morrison, which previously appeared in the most recent edition of the firm’s Private Equity Quarterly . The article discussed the emerging trend in renewable energy toward use of a private equity fund-style “committed capital” structure, rather than the project finance-style structure, in which each project has its own capital stack, which has traditionally been used in the renewable energy field.
