Increasingly over the past decade, major companies have been subject to the initiation of state regulatory investigations and derivative consumer litigation, all of which can commence before the company even has its arms around what the issues and possible defenses are. That can cause panic, chaos, rapid stock price drops, and investor anxieties—to say nothing of the attendant public relations hit and loss of good will in the marketplace.
In this CLE, join Ashley Taylor, Stephen Piepgrass, Ryan Strasser, Sadia Mirza, and Abbey Thornhill as they discuss hypothetical examples of how these risks could play out in the food delivery space, drawing from real life examples to keep the hypotheticals grounded. The discussion today will focus on the interrelatedness of regulatory investigations and derivative consumer litigation and will identify examples of the nature and type that someday a company could confront.
The training is approved for MCLE credit in California, Illinois, New Jersey (through reciprocity), New York, and Pennsylvania. We will seek credit for all other states we have office locations. Credit for other jurisdictions may be available upon request. For more information, please email CLE Management at clemanagement@troutman.com.
