Troutman Sanders’ Misha Tseytlin Receives Amicus Service Award for Pro Bono Efforts
WASHINGTON – Misha Tseytlin, a partner at Troutman Sanders LLP and leader of the firm’s national Appellate and Supreme Court practice, has received an Amicus Service Award from the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA). The award recognizes attorneys who have been actively involved in legal advocacy for and on behalf of local governments and the IMLA, and who have done exemplary work to protect and advance local government interests.
Tseytlin was recognized for his pro bono service to the IMLA Legal Advocacy program and specifically for his work in the Lomax v. Ortiz-Marquez case, in which Troutman Sanders filed an amicus brief. Tseytlin, Elizabeth Holt Andrews, and Sean Dutton drafted the brief, receiving critical assistance from Katharine Malone, Hillary Lehmann, Michael Cassata, and George Laiolo.
“This award truly recognizes the efforts of a greater Troutman Sanders team,” Tseytlin said. “We are honored to receive the award and remain committed to protecting and advancing local government interests through our service to the IMLA Legal Advocacy program.”
Tseytlin has extensive experience litigating high-stakes appeals before the United States Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals and state supreme courts. He leads Troutman Sanders’ nationally recognized Appellate and Supreme Court practice, where members have argued and submitted numerous briefs before the Supreme Court of the United States, federal courts of appeals and state appellate courts.
Tseytlin will be recognized on April 24 at the IMLA Mid-Year Seminar in Washington, D.C., during an amicus awards ceremony at the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
