Addison is an associate in the firm's nationally recognized Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. He has represented several of the nation's preeminent financial institutions in litigation arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the FTC Holder Rule, and other consumer protection state analogs.
In addition to his litigation practice, Addison also provides regulatory compliance assistance to a wide array of companies across the financial services industry on issues concerning UDAAPs, Regulation V and the FCRA, Regulation F and the FDCPA, Regulation Z and the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and Regulation B and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). He has worked on an assortment of matters involving payday lenders, credit servicers, debt purchasers, auto finance providers, a debt collection management fintech, and a notable investment firm with $28 billion in assets under management.
While in law school, Addison served as a legal writing teaching assistant and a judicial extern to the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In his spare time, Addison enjoys exercising and studying blockchain technology.
