Meagan’s national practice includes defending both class action and individual matters involving federal consumer protection statutes like the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Meagan represents financial services clients, including banks, consumer reporting agencies, background screening companies, debt buyers, and debt collectors, in individual and class action litigation throughout the U.S. Meagan works closely with clients to identify and develop a litigation strategy early in each case to fit each client’s unique goals. She handles cases from their inception and handles all facets of discovery, including written discovery, document production, third-party discovery, and depositions. She is also experienced in managing large e-discovery projects for both individual cases and class actions. Meagan has successfully obtained summary judgment for clients in both class actions and individual cases, and she has litigated cases in federal courts across the U.S.
She also works with clients to review and develop compliance procedures in the areas of background screening and debt collection. Meagan is a regular contributor to the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Law Monitor blog and frequently contributes to the firm's webinar series.
