Troutman Pepper Advises Georgia Banking Company in Merger Agreement With Tandem Bancorp

ATLANTA – Troutman Pepper Locke represented Georgia Banking Company, Inc. (GBC), the parent company of Georgia Banking Company, in its definitive agreement to merge with Tandem Bancorp, Inc. (Tandem), the parent company of Tandem Bank. For more information, see the press release.

GBC’s merger with Tandem further enhances the combined bank’s scale and complements its footprint across metro Atlanta. It will be the second transaction for the GBC management team in the market in as many years, underscoring its ongoing mission to create Atlanta’s premier locally based banking institution. On a pro forma basis as of Dec. 31, 2025, the combined bank would have $3 billion in total assets, $2.6 billion in deposits, and $2.5 billion in gross loans.
