Josh Kaplowitz will be speaking during the, “Unpacking the New Presidential Directives on Offshore Wind: What They Mean and What Comes Next,” workshop as part of the 2025 Oceantic Network International Forum, on April 28 through May 1 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The panel of experts will unravel the complexities and implications of the new administration’s actions on the offshore wind industry. They will also provide an analysis of the Executive Memorandum (EM), which withdraws unreleased areas and indefinitely freezes new permits and approvals. Emily Huggins Jones will also be moderating the “Multipurpose Shipyards: Increasing Capacity for National Defense and Offshore Wind (Part I),” session, which will explore the critical role of multipurpose shipyards and ports in strengthening national security and supporting the growth of offshore wind energy.

Other members of the Troutman Pepper Locke team will also be attending the conference, including Toyja Kelley and Ben Cowan.
