On Tuesday, May 11, Cooper Sartell moderated the panel titled, "What in the World? – An Overview of the OECD's impact on US Tax." This panel provided a high-level review of Base-Erosion and Profit Shifting Projects and the issues the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) seeks to address as well as the OECD's role in international tax, including the US role with the OECD.
On Thursday, May 13, Morgan Klinzing spoke on the panel titled, "Representing the Professional Selling to or Purchasing a Minority Interest in a Corporate Practice." This panel discussed the abundant availability of capital, corporate practices continue to acquire veterinary, dental, and now even specialty dental practices. The panel also examined both the opportunities and risks of being fully paid for the practice, offered holdback provisions, and the requirement of continued employment post-closing.
