ATLANTA – Eight Troutman Sanders partners have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 2019 40 & Under Hot List, which recognizes attorneys under 40 (as of Jan. 1, 2019) who stand out in their practice area and are at the top of their industry. Annie Cook (Atlanta/Energy and Natural Resources) counsels clients on energy and environmental regulatory issues nationwide, with an emphasis on oil and gas regulatory compliance and litigation strategy, construction, siting, permitting, and enforcement defense relating to the Pipeline Safety Act, the Oil Pollution Act, the Clean Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and related state laws. Her clients include owners and operators of oil and natural gas pipelines and associated refining, processing, processing, LNG, storage and terminal facilities.
Wynter Deagle (San Diego/Business Litigation) is a creative and practical trial attorney who combines her passion for emerging technology, her obsession with efficiency, and her talent for strategy in a wide-variety of disputes including commercial litigation, unfair competition and defamation, breaches of fiduciary duty class actions. In addition to her robust compliance and counselling practice, Deagle focuses her cyber and privacy practice on assisting clients in the areas of data breach response, privacy-related litigation, and responding to investigations related to privacy and data security practices.
Kyle Deak (Raleigh and Charlotte/Financial Services Litigation) is the managing partner of Troutman Sanders’ Raleigh office and is a first-chair trial attorney with experience in handling trials and appeals in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His practice primarily involves the representation of financial institutions, loan servicers, and mortgage investors, in lender liability actions, real property financing disputes, foreclosures, and other commercial disputes.
Dave Gettings (Virginia Beach/Financial Services Litigation) focuses on defending his clients in consumer class actions and complex commercial litigation nationwide. He specializes in class actions and consumer litigation involving a variety of federal and state laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), among others. Gettings also has developed a particular expertise in defending class action lawsuits and providing compliance advice on the laws governing employment background checks.
Lindsey Mann (Atlanta/Business Litigation) represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and environmental claims, with a special focus on class actions. Lindsey takes a pragmatic approach and brings to bear her experience in managing complex disputes, her knowledge of local and federal rules, and her ability to leverage appropriate technology to resolve these claims as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Justin Nahama (San Diego/Business Litigation) focuses on business litigation, intellectual property, white collar defense and government investigations and enforcement. He also represents venture capital funds and entrepreneurs around the world. Nahama joined private practice after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a trial lawyer and trusted advisor to senior military commanders.
Eric Rumanek (Atlanta/Business Litigation) is a partner in the firm’s product liability and business litigation practices. Timothy St. George (Richmond/Financial Services Litigation) represents clients in federal and state courts, both at the trial and appellate level. He has extensive experience in defending consumer class actions, with an emphasis on defending cases filed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
