With document reuse so prevalent, content is laced with inconsistencies in formatting, outlining and language. Additionally, validating source/target references and legal language in the document is usually done manually and prone to human error. With an increasing number of state bars adopting the ABA’s Model Rule 1.1 [8] of maintaining competence in relevant technology, learning about the technology available to aid your practice is essential. This CLE course is designed for attorneys to learn how to automate the drafting and review process, and why this is an ethical practice.
This course will cover:
- Current state of document drafting and the risks associated.
- Avenues to mitigating risk with automation.
- How technology plays a role.
- Exploring automated document drafting/review.
- Q&A with legal technology experts.
