Session 1: In today’s diverse workforce, it is common to find employees from multiple generations working side by side. This dynamic can present unique legal and practical challenges and opportunities for organizations. Using examples from the TV series The Z-Suite as a framework, this CLE program will explore the complexities of managing a multigenerational workforce in law firms, corporations, and other organizations, and discuss best practices for mitigating the legal risks.
Session 2: Participants will work collaboratively through a hypothetical scenario and discuss the various legal issues presented in the scenario, which includes corporate, M&A, data privacy, employment, and environmental law issues. Following the group discussions, subject matter experts in each of the substantive legal areas addressed in the scenario will present an analysis of the key legal issues to the attendees.

Community solar projects offer significant benefits to both developers and consumers (individuals, businesses, and other groups) by providing broader access to solar energy, typically through a subscription model. The Inflation Reduction Act has introduced various incentives aimed at encouraging the development of community solar projects. Renewable energy counsel and developers must understand the legal and regulatory landscape.

This program provides an introduction to the basic concepts of eDiscovery which occur throughout all phases of a litigation or investigation, including strategic planning and practice tips for each phase: preservation and the legal hold process, collection of client documents/data, written discovery considerations, protocols and privilege logs, document review and analysis (including technology assisted review), document production, format of production, and use of documents in depositions/motion and trial.
This course serves as a foundation for more detailed sessions on issues such as protecting privileges, managing document reviews, and negotiating ESI Protocols.
