(BOSTON) August 3, 2020 – Boston Partner Stephanie Massey, Co-Chair of Locke Lord’s nationally recognized Public Finance Practice Group, has been selected as one of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2020 Top Women of Law, which celebrates the achievements of exceptional women lawyers who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers and role models. Massey will be honored during a virtual reception on Nov. 17.
Massey is an active member of the community, having served since 2018 as a member of the golf tournament planning committee for the Judge Baker Children’s Center, which is the organization’s annual fundraiser to support its work to promote the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training and advocacy. She has also volunteered time to various nonprofits providing support to underserved populations, including Pine Street Inn and Wrentham Developmental Center.
In her practice, Massey serves as bond counsel and/or borrower’s counsel to many well-known, influential institutions. Boston Partner Richard Glovsky was featured on Radio Entrepreneurs discussing the federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate in the United States for employers with 100 or more employees. Glovsky outlined obstacles to the mandate’s implementation, including states’ lawsuits to block it. He also commented on exemptions for individual employees, including the feasibility of accommodations.
“One determination that employers have to make is: Can the employee do the job remotely, or must the employee be in the workplace? If the employee is going to be in the workplace, then what is going to be required?” he said.
