A client was facing a class action litigation and investigations by multiple regulatory agencies. The client needed help keeping track of many moving pieces, deadlines that relied on a complex series of events, and budgets for different stages of the case.
Our Approach
We developed a project plan workflow with visualized timelines and specific insights into the cost drivers throughout the matter and presented it in an at-a-glance dashboard view, giving the client greater transparency as the litigation unfolded. Importantly, the dashboard is integrated in the client’s project portal, allowing the team to view budget to actual spend in an interactive visual format.
The Outcome
The dashboard is being used by the client and the firm to track budget to actuals, including in quarterly meetings to review budget variances and plan for the upcoming quarter. This approach provided clarity into the complex matter.

Our Approach
We created and hosted Horizons Legal Ops Summit, an interactive conference that provides an opportunity for legal ops professionals to share insights, discuss challenges, and shape a strategic vision for their organizations, as well as learn from outside experts on key topics.
The Outcome
Since its inception in 2023, we have hosted over 80 attendees representing over 30 different clients across all Horizons Legal Ops Summit events. Sessions have addressing topics such adding value as a law department; generative artificial intelligence; developing trusted, beneficial relationships with outside counsel; strategic change management; effectively navigating pressures on legal spend; and increasing efficiency through enterprise contract lifecycle management. Further events are in development.
