Troutman Pepper is teaming with SBDC@UCI Beall Applied Innovation Incubator to host a year-long monthly series targeted to startups and small businesses.
Jim Schutz and Rusty Close will discuss the purpose of Nondisclosure and Confidentiality Agreements. They’ll discuss when they’re necessary, key provisions, what’s worth negotiating, and what to do if the other side isn’t willing to sign.
Over the course of this series, attendees will gain knowledge about IP assets including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, for both the U.S. and International markets. After each session, business owners will have a basic understanding of what each IP asset is, when to file, and how to enforce it. Additional sessions will focus on licensing and monetizing your IP to create value for your company and investors.
