The Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program at the Small Business Administration (SBA) helps facilitate the flow of equity capital into small businesses across the country. Each year, public money is leveraged into billions of dollars of investment in small companies that create jobs and strengthen their communities.
SBA recently proposed changes to enhance participation and expand the geography of SBIC investment. Members of Congress have shown interest in building on the success of SBICs to support job creation and economic development, while limiting risk to taxpayers.
Join BPC for a discussion of the SBIC program and the implications of proposed regulatory and legislative changes.
