David Navetta, a partner in Troutman Pepper Locke’s Privacy + Cyber Practice Group, was quoted in the March 10, 2025 Law360 article, “Former Cooley Atty To Co-Lead Troutman Cybersecurity Team.”

“I could not be more excited for the opportunity at Troutman Pepper Locke,” Navetta told Law360 in a statement on Monday. “We have a great team poised to capture the significant work in this space. Expanding the practice into strategic advices concerning data use and monetization, as well as technology generally will enable even more. It’s going to be an amazing ride!”

When asked what attracted him to make the move from Cooley, Navetta said that Troutman has a strong, established privacy and data security practice, especially around class action litigation defense and federal and state regulatory investigations and defense. He said he’s plugging into that workflow and will also help build out, scale and grow the firm’s privacy, security, AI and data practice.
