Kids in Need of Defense in Mexico: An Update on Migrant Children Who Are Unaccompanied, Separated, or At-Risk of Separation (CLE Offered)

Zoom

Friday, October 28 • 12:00 – 1:15 p.m. ET

Migrant children who are unaccompanied, separated, or at risk of separation need protection from the moment they leave their homes, throughout their migration journey and after they reach their destination. That’s why the KIND team in its Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, Mexico City, and Tapachula offices collaborates with civil society and government stakeholders to promote the rights of migrant children across Mexico, particularly along its northern and southern border regions.

This one hour CLE training will provide information about the services KIND provides to children on the move to inform migrant children about their rights and options for protection and to ensure legal representation for children entering the United States.

The training will be led by Christie Turner-Herbas, Director of Special Programs at KIND and Lauren Keenan, Supervising Attorney Special Programs – Mexico.
