Connecting the Dots: From Custodian Interview to the Review Platform

Dallas Partner Harriet Miers, former Managing Partner of a Locke Lord predecessor firm and former Counsel to the President of the United States, was awarded the Certificate of Merit at the 2024 State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting for her outstanding contributions to the legal profession.
Miers has been widely recognized for her efforts to create a more diverse, fair and equitable legal profession. Beyond her myriad of civic and professional accomplishments, she currently serves as Chair of the Texas Access to Justice Commission, charged with developing and implementing initiatives designed to expand access to, and enhance the quality of, justice in civil legal matters for low-income Texans. Miers also serves as Co-Chair of the Legal Services Corporation Leaders Council, a group of high-profile and influential leaders from various industries across the country formed to help raise public awareness of the need to increase resources to provide legal aid for the poor. Among her many awards and accolades throughout her career, including recently receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from The American Lawyer, she was previously selected for induction into the Texas Legal Legends, the highest award bestowed by the State Bar of Texas, for her lasting impact and extraordinary contributions to the legal profession.
