Nursing Home Visitation Guidance Updated to Reflect Vaccine Rollout
Nursing home residents' ability to receive visitors has been strictly limited during the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of the increasing number of vaccinated residents and visitors, CMS and the CDC released updated guidance for nursing homes that provides a significant step toward resuming pre-pandemic visitation standards. This is welcomed news for nursing home residents and their families, many of whom have gone nearly a year without in-person visits with family and loved ones.
