ATLANTA – Troutman Pepper has been named 2023 Law Firm of the Year by Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta (PBPA) for the firm’s contributions of attorney time and counsel helping Atlanta area nonprofits. In 2023, the firm handled more than 30 matters referred by the legal nonprofit with attorneys collectively logging nearly 500 hours.
Troutman Pepper has partnered with PBPA since the organization’s founding. Each year, the firm hosts a nonprofit check-up clinic in its Atlanta office. Law firm and in-house attorneys team up to review and address the legal needs of local nonprofits.
“We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta and believe strongly in their mission of helping local nonprofits thrive by connecting them with the right legal resources,” said Partner Sara Richman, chair of the firm’s Pro Bono practice.
PBPA provides free business legal resources and services to Georgia nonprofits, matching eligible organizations with volunteer attorneys from the leading corporations and law firms in Atlanta. Since its founding more than 15 years ago, PBPA has assigned and supported over 3,200 volunteer lawyers in aiding over 900 nonprofit clients. Learn more at pbpatl.org.
