Troutman Pepper Locke partner Leslie Davis will speak at the ReFocus Conference, co-hosted by the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA), taking place in Las Vegas, February 15–18, 2026.
Leslie will participate in a panel discussion titled “Potential Future Disputes Arising from Today’s Reinsurance Transactions.” The session will examine how past YRT treaty language contributed to numerous life reinsurance arbitrations and how the industry has adapted its wording to help reduce such disputes. The panel will then turn to emerging areas of risk in today’s flow and inforce life and annuity reinsurance transactions, with speakers identifying potential flashpoints and offering practical strategies to mitigate the likelihood of future arbitrations.
The panel will be moderated by Morgan Tilleman, Partner at Foley & Lardner LLP. Leslie Davis will be joined by Suman Chakraborty, Member at Mintz.
