Jay Dubow, co-leader of Troutman Pepper Locke’s Securities Investigations + Enforcement Practice Group, was quoted in the December 26, 2025 Bloomberg Law article, “Semiannual SEC Filing Won’t Yield Fewer Suits, Just Tougher Ones.”

  • Making the shift might minutely reduce the volume of cases being filed because of fewer reports to scrutinize, said Troutman Pepper Locke LLP’s Jay Dubow. “But I think probably not in a material way, because if they’re going to disappoint for the quarter, most likely it would disappoint for the half eventually,” he said.
  • The longer period “also gives those who would be so motivated more time to hide things and try to getaway with things so that they could become bigger problems perhaps in that time period,” Dubow said.
