Six Troutman Pepper Attorneys Named to Super Lawyers’ Michigan List
DETROIT – Six Troutman Pepper attorneys, including Nickolas Guttman, Robert Hertzberg, Kay Standridge Kress, Matthew Lund, Sean McNally and Armeen Mistry, have been named to the 2020 Super Lawyers® Michigan list, which recognizes attorneys who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Recipients are determined by independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Nickolas Guttman, an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, was named to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list. Guttman focuses on commercial transactions and general corporate law, representing property owners, real estate developers, landlords, and tenants in matters including the acquisition, sale, financing, and leasing of commercial real estate properties.
Partner Robert Hertzberg has been recognized by Super Lawyers for over 10 years for his notable bankruptcy practice. A Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Hertzberg represents secured lenders, debtors, debtors-in-possession, trustees, creditors, and creditors’ committees and handles complex litigation matters in bankruptcy and federal district courts.
Partner Kay Standridge Kress was recognized as a top financial restructuring and insolvency attorney. She represents debtors, creditors’ committees, secured creditors, trustees, individual creditors, and parties in interest — both as lead counsel and co-counsel — in out-of-court workouts and bankruptcy courts in the Eastern District of Michigan, Western District of Michigan, District of Delaware, Southern District of New York, and other bankruptcy courts in the United States.
Partner Matthew Lund specializes in complex civil litigation matters including federal securities disputes, high value contract and business tort claims, and federal CERCLA and state law environmental matters. He has tried numerous cases to verdict, and is described in Chambers USA as “an incredibly skilled trial attorney.”
