Three Troutman Pepper Attorneys Selected to Participate in Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs
NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper Partner Fredrick Wilson has been selected for the 2024 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), and Associates Kimberly Eason and Maddy Thompson have been named to LCLD’s 2024 Class of Pathfinders. LCLD seeks to create a more diverse and inclusive legal profession with more than 400 members, including corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners.
Wilson, a partner in the firm’s Energy Practice Group, will participate in the Fellows program, which LCLD created to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
At Troutman Pepper, Wilson applies his engineering expertise and first-hand regulatory insight to help energy clients with respect to project development, complex transactions, and the full range of regulatory matters before FERC, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and state regulators. He has extensive experience with RTO/ISO market rules and issues under the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act, Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, Public Utility Holding Company Act, and Natural Gas Policy Act.
Eason and Thompson will participate in LCLD’s Pathfinder Program, which trains high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks.
In her practice, Eason handles a variety of business litigation matters, including contractual claims and other civil disputes. She also defends businesses in class action litigation and complex commercial disputes, as well as against claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Thompson focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing, master planned communities, and asset management. In particular, she frequently assists developers of multifamily projects with the acquisition, capitalization, and disposition of assets across the U.S.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are among Troutman Pepper’s core values and are fundamental to the firm’s culture. Troutman Pepper has been involved with the LCLD since the organization was founded in 2009 and most recently was recognized as an LCLD Top Performer and Compass Award Winner for being among the top 20 percent of organizations based on participation in LCLD programs and activities.
