The future of AI in the legal and professional development industries is still unfolding, but one thing is clear: waiting for a roadmap means getting left behind. We’ve all heard it said, “AI won’t replace lawyers, but lawyers who use AI will replace those who don’t.” The same applies to PD professionals. But with all the buzz around AI’s potential, it can be hard to separate hype from reality—how can we actually implement it ourselves and on our teams today? Let’s spend some time learning from each other and experimenting together. We’ll begin by introducing potential use cases, using freely available AI tools, as well as proprietary resources, and discussing how creative prompting can unlock AI’s fullest potential. Then, we’ll put our creativity to the test by using AI tools to work through real-world scenarios. Come with your laptop and access to an AI chatbot account (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) or buddy up with a partner at your table. Whether you’re skeptical or excited, AI-curious or already experimenting, this session offers an opportunity for hands-on exploration—trying out AI in practical, tangible ways and seeing what sparks new ideas. You’ll leave with fresh perspectives, new ways to experiment with AI in your work, and an AI Experimentation Challenge—a hands-on resource to encourage you and your teammates to explore AI together.
