Beers said his time at the Justice Department “was a unique opportunity to gain tremendous experience in a short amount of time on some of the biggest environmental cases in the country.”
“I handled every kind of environmental case imaginable at DOJ but developed a particular expertise in managing the Department’s most challenging Clean Air Act cases. My time at DOJ gave me great insight into how to cut through the barriers that sometimes exist between regulators and industry to achieve practical results for my clients,” Beer said. “Working at DOJ was always something I wanted to do, and it provided a great foundation for a successful private practice.”
Beers added that Troutman Pepper’s environmental bench, national footprint and exceptional client base were all reasons he wanted to move his practice to the firm.
