Troutman Pepper Advises Hull Street Energy on Acquisition of Two Texas Natural Gas-Fired Power Plants

BETHESDA, Md. – Troutman Pepper served as legal counsel to its client Hull Street Energy (“Hull Street”) in its definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the Bastrop Energy Center and Paris Energy Center from Mesquite Generation Holdings LLC, an affiliate of Atlas Holdings. Located in Bastrop and Paris, Texas, the two natural gas-fired power generation facilities provide 855 megawatts of critical power generation and reliability services to the Texas grid. This news comes on the heels of Hull Street’s recent acquisition of natural gas-fired plant Sunrise Power in Fellows, California. Hull Street and its affiliates now own approximately 2,300 megawatts of strategically located gas-fired and dual-fueled generation capacity throughout the United States, which will help enhance the resiliency and reliability of power service for regional customers.
