Troutman Pepper Advises Nanoramic in Strategic Investment by GM Ventures
BOSTON – Troutman Pepper client Nanoramic Laboratories ("Nanoramic"), a leading energy storage and advanced materials company, recently announced a strategic investment from GM Ventures, the venture capital arm of General Motors Co. Nanoramic developed an innovative electrode technology, Neocarbonix® at the Core, and is commercializing it to transform energy storage for electric vehicles. The collaboration between Nanoramic and GM will focus on the joint development and application of Neocarbonix® at the Core for EV lithium-ion batteries, which targets improvements in EV battery cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
Drawing on its deep experience in automotive, energy storage, and venture capital, the Troutman Pepper team counseled Nanoramic in connection with both the commercial and financing aspects of its multipart deal with GM.
