Mason Bayler, chair of Troutman Pepper’s Transactional Department, was quoted in the July 10, 2024 Daily Report article, “Troutman Pepper, Alston & Bird, Nelson Mullins Rise in M&A Rankings.”

Another Atlanta-rooted firm, Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders, increased its ranking for number of M&A deals involving U.S. companies.

Mason Bayler, chair of Troutman Pepper’s transactional department, said the firm has had “significant growth in the U.S. domestic M&A deal space” just as market activity was improving.

“This success is achieved thanks to our strong U.S. platform and strategic partnerships with leading law firms around the world that enable us to serve clients globally and across a variety of industries,” Bayler said.

Troutman Pepper rose in the rankings from No. 29 in 2023 to No. 23 this year for number of completed deals involving targeted U.S. firms. It was involved in 35 deals valued at $4.66 billion between Jan. 1 and June 30.

Among Troutman Pepper’s deals in the first half of this year were its representation of payments provider Payroc WorldAccess in an announced late June agreement to acquire payments software and technology company i3 Verticals for $440 million.
