Troutman Pepper eMerge Attorneys Recognized as AI Visionaries by Relativity
ATLANTA/NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper eMerge Managing Director and Partner Alison Grounds and Principal Jason Lichter have been recognized as AI Visionaries by Relativity, a leading legal and compliance software provider. AI Visionaries is an annual list of early adopters in legal, compliance, and risk who are playing a seminal role in advancing the use of AI in their organization.
“We are proud to be recognized among these distinguished AI trailblazers,” said Partner Alison Grounds, who founded Troutman Pepper eMerge, the firm’s eDiscovery and legal technology subsidiary, one decade ago. “I find the adoption rate for technology in the legal space typically requires someone else going first. So, our attitude has always been, let’s be first.”
Grounds and Lichter are among only 46 leaders selected for the inaugural AI Visionaries list. According to Relativity, the annual list of industry luminaries “honors the explorers, experimenters, and promoters who have harnessed humankind’s most advanced tool to solve consequential problems. These are the trailblazers with a clear vision for using artificial intelligence and machine learning in innovative ways at their organizations, clearing a path for others to follow.”
Grounds assists clients in all discovery-related aspects of litigation, internal and governmental investigations, subpoena response, and due diligence, as well as proactive litigation readiness. Clients across varied industries rely on her litigation experience and technology prowess to develop and manage the overall strategy and to advocate on their behalf during discovery conferences, meet and confers, and hearings.
As a former software engineer turned litigator, Lichter brings a singular combination of real-world legal experience and hands-on technical expertise to each eDiscovery engagement. A staunch advocate of continuous process improvement and innovative legal service delivery, Lichter advises colleagues and clients on how to leverage the latest machine learning technologies and best practices to efficiently guide matters from pre-litigation information governance through the entire eDiscovery lifecycle.
