Troutman Pepper Locke Associate Akilah Craig Named to Institute for Energy Law 2026 Leadership Class
HOUSTON – Troutman Pepper Locke associate Akilah Craig has been named to the 2026 Leadership Class of the Institute for Energy Law (IEL), a division of The Center for American and International Law, one of the world’s oldest continuing legal education providers.
Now in its ninth year, IEL brings together 40 rising professionals who work across litigation, transactions, regulatory matters, arbitration, engineering, and energy law, representing eight U.S. states, Washington, D.C., Mexico, Switzerland, and Venezuela. The program provides lawyers and other professionals in the energy industry with exceptional academic and professional opportunities, including annual conferences, courses, seminars, scholarly publications, and membership activities.
Ms. Craig is an employment lawyer whose practice spans transactional matters, employer counseling, and litigation, regularly serving clients in the energy industry. She has experience drafting complex employment agreements and conducts due diligence and post-transaction integration in connection with asset and equity transactions. Ms. Craig also advises clients on all aspects of the employment relationship and represents employers in federal and state courts and administrative agencies across the country in disputes involving employment discrimination, restrictive covenant agreements, and wage and hour claims.
