CHICAGO – Artificial intelligence leaders will convene at Troutman Pepper Locke’s second annual summit dedicated to exploring the transformative role of generative AI in the legal industry on Sept. 9 at the firm’s Chicago office, located at 111 S. Wacker Dr.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the Pathfinders Beyond Boundaries: Law Firm AI Summit aims to provide a dynamic platform for industry leaders to exchange insights, strategies, and experiences navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of generative AI technologies, including associated use cases, training, ethical obligations, policy implications, and more.

“In today’s ever-changing legal ecosystem, the collaboration among AI professionals is crucial for advancing our firms, enhancing client services, and driving industry-wide innovation,” said Will Gaus, Troutman Pepper Locke’s chief knowledge management and innovation officer. “By bringing together leaders in AI technology, we aim to foster a community that shares insights, tackles challenges, and pioneers developments that will shape the future of legal services. This collective effort not only advances firm and client initiatives but also propels the entire industry forward.”

“As AI continues to reshape the legal landscape, it is imperative for law firms to address ethical and compliance challenges proactively. I look forward to engaging with fellow industry leaders in meaningful discussions that will guide our collective journey,” said Lori P. Knowles, assistant general counsel at Gunderson Dettmer and a featured speaker at the event.

The Law Firm AI Summit will feature collaborative sessions covering a wide array of topics, including responding to ethics and compliance issues, evaluating AI vendors, the impact on client relationships, and return on investment.
