HOUSTON – Troutman Pepper Locke’s Taneska Jones has been selected as a member of the State Bar of Texas and Texas Young Lawyers Association’s 2025-2026 class of LeadershipSBOT. The prestigious program is designed to recruit, train, and retain Texas lawyers for leadership positions in the legal community and the State Bar of Texas. She will participate to gain the tools to develop and transition into leadership roles, foster meaningful relationships, interact with current leaders, and discover how to best engage in public involvement to be effective in the profession and community.

Jones focuses her practice on financial services litigation, representing national banks, trustees, and mortgage servicing firms in state and federal courts. She defends clients against various consumer protection claims involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, among other state and federal consumer protection statutes. Jones also has extensive experience representing clients in employment law matters involving discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. She was recently recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in Labor and Employment Management/Litigation. Jones strives to provide cost-effective representation to clients by obtaining dispositive motions and securing resolutions in their favor early in litigation.
