Troutman Pepper Names Charlie Peeler Office Managing Partner in Atlanta

ATLANTA – Charlie Peeler, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s White Collar + Government Investigations practice, has been appointed to office managing partner in Atlanta, effective January 1, 2024. Peeler succeeds Partner Chuck Palmer, who has led the office since 2019.

“It is an honor to be called upon to lead our firm’s largest office, and I look forward to building upon Chuck’s extraordinary work over the last five years,” Peeler said. “I am particularly focused on our commitment to our clients and the community, as well as emerging legal technologies that will help us better serve both.”

Peeler, the former U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, joined Troutman Pepper in 2021 and assists clients in navigating the current regulatory and enforcement climate to prevent, resolve and, if necessary, litigate critical and sensitive issues. Clients turn to Peeler when facing complex internal investigations, civil and criminal government enforcement actions, commercial disputes, and litigation arising from cyberattacks and data breaches.

In addition to his successful legal practice, Peeler has extensive ties to the local community and is a recognized leader both within the firm and greater industry. He has served on the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission under two Georgia governors, the Georgia Attorney General’s Anti-Gang Task Force, the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the Middle District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Conference Planning Committee. He has been recognized by Chambers USA for his white-collar work and was named as one of the “Most Influential Georgians” by James Magazine, among other accolades.
