Troutman Pepper Partner Andrea Wortzel Named to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2023 Class of Influential Women of Law

RICHMOND, Va. – Andrea Wortzel, leader of Troutman Pepper’s national Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group, has been named to the Influential Women of Law Class of 2023 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The award program honors women attorneys and judges for their excellent work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients, their commitment to their communities, and their service to the profession.

At Troutman Pepper, Wortzel has a natural resource practice, focused on compliance with the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act.  She has applied her experience with these statutes to large infrastructure projects, including hydropower projects. In Virginia, Wortzel has been involved in water quantity issues, including water rights, water supply planning, and water withdrawal permitting. She coordinates Mission H2O, a stakeholder group focused on water supply policy issues in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Additionally, she also helped establish Women in the Environment (WINE), an informal networking program for women working in the environmental field.
