Troutman Pepper Partner Chad Warpula to Serve as Interim General Counsel for Chico’s

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Chad Warpula, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Charlotte office, has been selected to serve as interim General Counsel for publicly-held Chico’s FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) while the international retailer identifies a candidate to replace its former legal department leader. Warpula will remain a full-time, active partner at Troutman Pepper as he aids this important client in its transition.

Warpula is no stranger to the General Counsel role. He served for five years as the General Counsel and Executive of Dale Earnhardt, Inc., the iconic and leading brand in the motorsports industry. He also recently served as American Tire Distributors’ interim General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for almost a year as the largest independent tire distributor searched for a replacement legal executive, all while maintaining his full-time practice at the firm.
