Troutman Pepper Partner David Anthony Completes Term as Chair of the Boyd-Graves Conference

RICHMOND – David Anthony, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Consumer Financial Services Practice Group, has successfully completed a three-year term as Chair of the Boyd-Graves Conference. The Boyd-Graves Conference is a prestigious assembly of legal professionals dedicated to improving civil practice in Virginia through collaborative efforts and consensus-building.

Since its inception in 1978, the Conference has evolved from an informal gathering at the Tides Inn in Irvington to a meticulously organized event attended by nearly 100 lawyers, professors, and judges representing a wide array of practices throughout the Commonwealth. The Conference focuses on the advancement of Virginia’s civil procedure. The Conference’s Steering Committee plans the event and selects the topics studied by committees of Conference members for consideration by the Conference.

In addition to serving as Chair, Anthony previously served as the Secretary/Treasurer and a member of the Conference’s Steering Committee. His leadership has continued the Conference’s unique mission of fostering legal excellence, innovation, collaboration and the administration of justice for civil litigation in Virginia through legislative and rule changes. His contributions have furthered the Boyd-Graves Conference’s legacy of improving the rule of law in Virginia.
