Troutman Pepper’s Martha Conlin Named Among Crain’s 2022 Notable Women in Law

CHICAGO – Martha Conlin, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice, has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2022 Notable Women in Law list. The annual list recognizes accomplished women attorneys in the Chicago area for their success during the last 18 months.

Those recognized by Crain’s have served in senior-level roles at law firms and have practiced at least 10 years. Attorneys making the list also have demonstrated the ability to effect change in their roles or practice areas and serve as role models and in leadership positions in professional or civic organizations.

Conlin has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry defending clients on insurance coverage and reinsurance matters, including litigation of complex property and casualty claims. She also helps clients avoid litigation by resolving disputes through arbitration, mediation and other alternative proceedings. Her successful track record spans general liability, products liability, technology and media liability, construction, property, asbestos, environmental, mass tort and contribution claims.

Throughout her career, Conlin’s dedication to supporting women in law has been a critical part of her career. She has served on firm and industry leadership committees addressing the challenges facing women in the legal industry. As a member of the firm’s Innovation Committee, Conlin has focused on creative ways to promote retention of women lawyers, including strategizing ways law firms can support women through alternative schedules and the use of technology to achieve work-life balance.
