Let’s get to know each other

Troutman Pepper Locke values teamwork and support for one another. We’re dedicated to a collaborative and supportive work environment, and we support many initiatives that foster collegiality. The firm is involved in pro bono and community service work throughout the U.S. We believe that our attorneys and staff members should give back to the communities in which they live and work.

We’re looking forward to meeting students as we build our next summer associate class, and we want to get to know you better. If you’d like to connect with an attorney at our firm who is an alum of your law school, or if you want to learn more about a practice area or office, please reach out to our Legal Talent Recruiting team and we’ll make a connection.

More about our summer program

Our summer program provides students with a multitude of opportunities to gauge what life will be like as an associate at our firm. Summer associates have the chance to work on pro bono matters, attend depositions and hearings, participate in client calls, and so much more. In your nine weeks as a summer associate at Troutman Pepper Locke, you’ll be supported while you get to know our firm.

Summer associates select their work assignments from our assignment portal, allowing them to create their own unique summer experience. We offer each of our summer associates an advisor team of associates and partners. This team serves as mentors, and focuses on work performance, social integration, and practice group guidance. We provide formal and informal feedback to every summer associate throughout the summer.

In addition to the advisor teams, we offer summer associates a robust training program. Our training allows summer associates to engage with firm leadership, learn more about our practice areas and firm culture, improve their skills, and explore additional opportunities for growth and involvement within the firm.

Lastly, our social events provide networking opportunities for our summer associates. Each office plans events that foster the development of strong relationships that last throughout your career.

The firm has been very supportive of my creativity and the pursuit of things that really interest me.
