Alex provides practical and candid advice to financial services clients to help them maximize recovery when borrowers, guarantors, and other loan parties do not fulfill their obligations. He regularly advises clients in workouts, loan enforcement, judgment enforcement, commercial foreclosure, receivership, commercial lease disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, breach of contract, and other complex commercial litigation matters.

Alex represents secured lenders, CMBS special servicers, receivers, REITS, trade associations, and other financial institutions. His broad experience includes matters involving hotels, multifamily projects, retail centers, and office buildings. Alex also handles matters involving complex consumer finance defense, construction, and commercial leasing. In addition to loan enforcement and receivership work, he frequently represents secured lenders in lien priority, mechanics lien disputes, and other real estate-related litigation at the trial and appellate levels.

In addition to litigating matters in state and federal court, Alex is experienced handling out-of-court loan workouts, which includes negotiating, structuring, drafting, and closing forbearance agreements, loan amendments, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, modifications, and related workout documentation.
