Alexander works with clients on a broad spectrum of energy regulatory and transactional matters, with a focus on navigating complex compliance landscapes and regulatory frameworks. He represents clients in regulatory proceedings, administrative litigation, and on compliance matters, primarily before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state utility commissions. Alexander’s work includes advising energy sector clients on rate cases, market rules, and compliance efforts.

Alexander gained significant experience as an energy regulatory associate in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm before joining the firm, and earlier in his career, served as an associate counsel at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). At NERC he advised on corporate governance matters and the enforcement of NERC’s Reliability Standards to maintain the reliability of the bulk power system. Alexander’s experience at NERC provided him with a strong foundation in electric reliability and operational risk mitigation.
