Amie is a sought-after energy regulatory strategist with decades of experience representing clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). With a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector and the legal landscape, she provides pragmatic advice that advances her clients' goals.
Amie is the firm's managing partner, helping to lead the firm's strategic and operational initiatives. In that role, she draws on her experience as a practice group and department leader, as well as decades of work in private practice.
Consistently recognized as a leading energy attorney by Chambers USA, Amie is noted for advice that balances the complexities of regulatory compliance with her clients' business realities. She counsels and guides clients such as electric utilities, holding companies, investors, developers, and other market participants on all aspects of electricity regulation.
Amie's particular focus is on transmission-related issues, including transmission rate cases, interconnection issues, FERC regulations related to Standards of Conduct (SOC), and national and regional reliability standards. In addition, she regularly provides guidance on FERC's market-based rate program, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA), and FERC's QF and EWG regulations.
Amie co-leads the firm's Management Team and is a member of the Policy Committee.
