Andreas Ringstad

Andreas is a partner on Troutman Pepper Locke’s Health Care + Life Sciences litigation team. He has extensive experience in defending biopharmaceutical companies, life sciences clients, and public works clients in product liability, toxic tort, environmental, and other complex litigation.

Andreas runs point on litigation at every phase, handling pleadings and written discovery, depositions, expert challenges, summary judgment, and trial preparation. His approach draws on a deep interest in and appreciation for the technical and scientific issues underlying and shaping defense strategy, tempered by a practical understanding of the challenges in getting good science in front of judges and juries. Andreas is actively involved in talcum powder asbestos litigation in Philadelphia’s Complex Litigation Center.

He recently served on expert teams involving drinking water quality contamination (heavy metals, disinfection by-products, and corrosivity) and air and soil contamination by legacy organochlorine chemicals. He previously represented an active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer in Pennsylvania’s opioid litigation.
