He represents electric utilities, independent power producers, financial institutions, and other energy sector clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the U.S. Courts of Appeals, and state utility commissions. Dixon also advises on project finance and tax equity transactions.

Before joining the firm, Dixon served as a term law clerk to the Honorable Glen E. Conrad of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and was an associate at an international law firm. As a third-year law student, Dixon briefed and argued a criminal appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
