Chris assists clients with structuring and closing commercial and real estate-secured credit facilities. He focuses on representing lenders in the provision of loans to acquire, refinance, and construct improvements on commercial real property.

Chris has in-depth experience with the legal and regulatory requirements bearing on credit transactions and the internal policies and procedures of his clients. He uses this experience to provide proactive advice and solutions that ensure all parties to a transaction are satisfied with the result.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris practiced corporate, real estate, finance, and health care law with a firm in Richmond, VA.

  • Represented an agent bank in a $630 million syndicated unsecured borrowing base facility to a national home builder.
  • Counseled a national bank with respect to a $17 million construction loan for a senior housing facility in Texas.
  • Advised an agent bank in an $80.5 million syndicated acquisition loan for two properties leased to federal government tenants.
  • Served as counsel to various multifamily lenders for bridge loans secured by apartment complexes throughout the U.S.
  • Represented a regional bank in a $20.2 million loan to refinance an office building leased to federal government and private sector tenants in Fairfax County, VA.
